Job Description:
The Sr. Support Applications Engineer (AE) provides direct technical customer support for Cadence Custom IC products. In this role, the Support Applications Engineer will work both independently and collaboratively with other team members and R&D to address customer issues and to file Cadence Change Requests (CCR’s). The Support AE will be an active contributor in team projects.
Responsibilities Include:
Provide technical support to customers, internal and external, for Virtuoso Custom IC Layout tools, Design Framework, and SKILL
Provide installation and licensing help
Advocate and negotiate bug/enhancement resolution with R&D
Develop solutions for inclusion in the Cadence knowledge database

Position Requirements
2 years experience after BSEE or Fresh MSEE
Basic Programming ability (C/C++, Perl, shell scripts)
Experience with Custom Layout Tools from Cadence, Mentor, or Synopsys
Excellent knowledge of computers (including software installation)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent in English (written and verbal)
