Develop breadboard instrumentation to implement workflows relating to biochemical and molecular measurement techniques
Conceptualize, design and develop specific sub-modules that integrate into measurement instrument concepts
Selection of components, procurement and its integration for building sub-modules and systems
Teams with other engineering and assay development team members to develop integrated systems
Develop new method or validate method on existing and new instrumentation platforms for measurement of biological processes
Generate Intellectual property in her/his technology area
Compile, analyze, document and present data
Prepares test plan and protocol
What do I need to qualify for this job?
MS in biophysics, engineering or equivalent with 1 to 2 years R&D experience
Competency in microfludics and a solid understanding of physics affecting fluid flow at such scales
Experience in developing test instrumentation involving microfluidics, electromechanical and optical components
Strong interest to develop novel concepts to detect and measure biochemical or biological phenomenon
