The Alliance Compliance Specialist position is responsible for ensuring that the assigned geos’ Alliance Partner (Intel, MS, AMD) budgets are fully utilized, that all Alliance funded activities are compliant with the fund terms and conditions, and that all claims for Alliance reimbursement are successfully submitted and paid.
1. Responsibilities of the position:
The primary purpose of this role is to manage the end-to-end utilization of Market Development Funds that Lenovo receives from its strategic Alliance partners – Intel, Microsoft and AMD. This role centrally manages, facilitates and tracks all of the assigned geos’ alliance marketing activity – from monitoring allocation usage, to reviewing compliant creative and owning the claim submission process. In addition, this role validates quarterly financial accruals and anticipated payments against forecast. The role works closely with the Marketing Operations Managers & Marketing Managers in the Geo and the Alliance finance team at Bangalore.
This role will ensure that all Alliance marketing activities are compliant as per our partner brand guidelines. It involves complete understanding of partner brand guidelines, updating changes, training Geo teams and advertising agencies. The role needs to coordinate closely with the marketing teams to ensure that they are adhering to the approvals and claiming processes as defined by our marketing agreements and to monitor usage of alliance as per allocation. This role will proactively work with all outside agencies – creative and media – to secure any required documentation to successfully claim alliance funds. This role will also communicate directly with Alliance partners to stay updated on the changes in program guidelines, resolve any questions and issues related to creative compliance, approvals, claims, audits etc.
2. Key Performance Indicators:
Assume end to end responsibility for all Alliance programs. Hands on with partner tools. Act as a checkpoint on creative compliance, tracking against budget allocations and segment plans and overall adherence to required program processes. Work with marketing teams to track activity through execution. Post execution, collect all relevant POEs and submit for reimbursement claim.
Interact with Alliance partners to resolve any claim related issues. Work closely with procurement team and the MIMT portal to ensure that Alliance funds are loaded in the portal as per Budget. Ensure a smooth Alliance PR creation process and tag PRs in MIMT with approved alliance program IDs.
Be the subject matter expert on Alliance program guidelines and provide quarterly training to Geo marketing teams and creative agencies. Proactively work with agencies and collect POEs through them.

Account management experience (Advertising / Sales / Service) is an advantage (but not a necessity)
