Job Title: IT Administrator
This position calls for an energetic professional with excellent troubleshooting skills. The IT Administrator will take a key role in effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards. Will provide end user support for local and remote based employees.
Help Desk Operations and Support
Provide front line support of internal help desk tickets for local and remote users. Account administration to include creation, modification and disablement of user accounts.
Hardware and Software Support
Effectively install and support server and client based hardware, software, printers, phones. System patching, configuration, tuning or other procedures as required.
Monitor network operations and provide preliminary troubleshooting. Daily monitoring and system log review.
Configure and monitor daily backups ensuring required systems and data have been successfully backed up and archived as required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
2-4 years of experience providing technical support
Knowledge and experience with various Windows Operating Systems (Microsoft certifications desirable)
Knowledge with Linux or Unix based operating systems desirable
Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated, able to work independently and take initiative
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
