Selection Process :

Preliminary Examination (MCQ Type)carrying 100 marks .the preliminary Exmaination is meant to serve as a screening test only for the purpose of selsction of candidates for the main Examination the marks obtained in this examination by the candidates will not be considered for final selection A limtied number of candidates maximum 05(five)times of totalposts (category wise)will be selected merit wise on the basis of yhe result of preliminary

Interview Cum Personality test :

1. The commission shall conduct an interview-cum personality test of those candidates who have obtained qualifyling marks in the main (written part) of the examination the pattern of the interview cum personality test be decided by the cooission in accordance with the requirement of the service and the post for which the examination is conducted
2. The interview cum personality test shall be to assess the personal qualities of a candidtae e.g his intllectual ability social traits interest in current affairs critical power of judgment variety and depth of interest ability for leadership,moral integrity etc

About Us :

The provision for constitution of Public Service Commission was first incorporated under Article 96C of the Government of India Act,1919. Thereafter in 1923 ‘Lee Commission’ was constituted for the purpose of formulating the principles/terms and conditions of Public Service Commission. Subsequently, as per recommendations of the ‘Lee Commission’ Federal Public Service Commission was established in India for the first time, on 1st October, 1926. Lee Commission also recommended for establishment of Provincial Public Service Commission its statehood on 21st January,1972  and Tripura Public Service Commission was established on 30th October, 1972, under the provisions of Article 315 of the Constitution of India. Sri G.P.Bagchi was the first Chairman and Sri I. K. Roy was the first Member of the Tripura Public Service Commission. The Commission is, at present, located at the old Assembly House of Tripura, at Akhaura Road, Agartala
